We have taken what we have learnt and the success of our bespoke programmes and experiences to date has led us to develop an experience for EVERYONE. We realised that it's not just women or minority groups that are being held back due to cultural, class, age or being a parent. Many things hold people back and we work to create a level playing field for EVERYONE with the work that we do.

how we do it - Our philosophy

The BE BRILLIANT approach is designed to help you make decisions and use strategies that play to your values, strengths, passions and skills.


Our experience working with people over the years, affirms that when you focus your business and career decisions on these unique factors, fulfilment and success follow.


It’s a simple premise, yet one that’s often disregarded during our education and negated by our employers. Oddly, convention focuses training and coaching on the areas where we lack natural ability or interest. We spend hours trying to fix our weaknesses or evolve “all-rounder” abilities, and little time developing our strengths in the areas we are naturally best at, most likely to build mastery in, and that we enjoy the most.


This is damage limitation at best and it’s unrewarding. If you’re not a natural physicist or playwright, focused attention might mean you attain an average aptitude eventually but you’re never going to be Werner Heisenberg or Arthur Miller.


Conversely, when you put your true skills, abilities, and interests to work you are much more likely to BE BRILLIANT in your chosen business or career and find lasting satisfaction. This perspective forms ​the basis of our work.

what is the problem we're addressing?

To perform at their very best and achieve results, athletes have clear goals, build strategies, train, review performance, learn and adapt. They benefit from continuous professional coaches who develop relationships built on trust and provide objective support.

The problem is, we do not support Leaders, Business Owners, HOD or Executives with this same quality of support and stretch. Too often, if at all, the focus is on technical skills and not behavioural, there's a real disconnect understanding the importance of combining commerciality and compassion. 

As a result we have lonely, disconnected, overwhelmed, overlooked, disorganised, reactive leaders who are not performing at the top of their game or taking a long term strategic business view. 

The impact, businesses are not realising their full potential or that of their people, struggling to develop, there’s no clear pathways to progress, good people are leaving and it’s hard to attract new talent. There is limited growth potential and they end up pursuing external talent at a greater cost to the business, both financially and motivationally.

As a growth facilitator, business coach and strategic thinking partner, I specialise in working with women leaders who are looking to excel their careers.

 

Hospitality has always played an important part in my life - as a child I was raised in a pub.

Today with over 25 years experience at board level, I'm proud to have worked with a great range of private PE, REIT and FTSE 100 businesses.

Having experienced a successful career progression journey myself and the challenges that it brought, you could say…I’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt!

 

In 2018, I set up 'Turn the Key,' a coaching and mentoring practice, where I found many highly competent, but unfulfilled women clients. I identified a gap that a high proportion of females were not progressing like their male counterparts so I set up 'BRILLIANT Women'.

Recognising that women don't self-promote, I've developed a series of initiatives and programmes as a unique strategic pathway that has helped inspire hundreds of women to be ambitious, courageous and authentic.
